9.18Whilehetoldthesethingstothem,behold,arulercameand
worshipedhim,saying,“Mydaughterhasjustdied,butcomeandlay
yourhandonher,andshewilllive.”
9.19Jesusgotupandfollowedhim,asdidhisdisciples.9.20Behold,
awomanwhohadanissueofbloodfortwelveyearscamebehindhim,
andtouchedthefringe[or,tassel]ofhisgarment;9.21forshesaid
withinherself,“IfIjusttouchhisgarment,Iwillbemadewell.”
9.22ButJesus,turningaroundandseeingher,said,“Daughter,cheerup!
Yourfaithhasmadeyouwell.”Andthewomanwasmadewellfrom
thathour.
9.23WhenJesuscameintotheruler’shouse,andsawthefluteplayers,
andthecrowdinnoisydisorder,9.24hesaidtothem,“Makeroom,
becausethegirlisn’tdead,butsleeping.”
Theywereridiculinghim.9.25Butwhenthecrowdwasputout,
heenteredin,tookherbythehand,andthegirlarose.9.26Thereport
ofthiswentoutintoallthatland.9.27AsJesuspassedbyfromthere,
twoblindmenfollowedhim,callingoutandsaying,“Havemercy
onus,sonofDavid!”
9.28Whenhehadcomeintothehouse,theblindmencametohim.
Jesussaidtothem,“DoyoubelievethatIamabletodothis?”
Theytoldhim,“Yes,Lord.”
9.29Thenhetouchedtheireyes,saying,“Accordingtoyourfaith
beitdonetoyou.”9.30Theireyeswereopened.Jesusstrictly
commandedthem,saying,“Seethatnooneknowsaboutthis.”9.31But
theywentoutandspreadabroadhisfameinallthatland.
9.32Astheywentout,behold,amutemanwhowasdemonpossessed
wasbroughttohim.9.33Whenthedemonwascastout,themuteman
spoke.Themultitudesmarveled,saying,“Nothinglikethishasever
beenseeninIsrael!”
9.34ButthePhariseessaid,“Bytheprinceofthedemons,hecastsout
demons.”
9.35Jesuswentaboutallthecitiesandthevillages,teachingintheir
synagogues,andpreachingtheGoodNewsoftheKingdom,and
healingeverydiseaseandeverysicknessamongthepeople.9.36But
whenhesawthemultitudes,hewasmovedwithcompassionforthem,
