12.9Hedepartedthere,andwentintotheirsynagogue.12.10Andbehold
therewasamanwithawitheredhand.Theyaskedhim,“Isitlawful
tohealontheSabbathday?”thattheymightaccusehim.
12.11Hesaidtothem,“Whatmanisthereamongyou,whohasone
sheep,andifthisonefallsintoapitontheSabbathday,won’thegrab
ontoit,andliftitout?12.12Ofhowmuchmorevaluethenisamanthan
asheep!ThereforeitislawfultodogoodontheSabbathday.”12.13
Thenhetoldtheman,“Stretchoutyourhand.”Hestretcheditout;and
itwasrestoredwhole,justliketheother.12.14ButthePhariseeswent
out,andconspiredagainsthim,howtheymightdestroyhim.12.15Jesus,
perceivingthat,withdrewfromthere.Greatmultitudesfollowedhim;
andhehealedthemall,12.16andcommandedthemthattheyshouldnot
makehimknown:12.17thatitmightbefulfilledwhichwasspoken
throughIsaiahtheprophet,saying,
12.18“Behold,myservantwhomIhavechosen;
mybelovedinwhommysouliswellpleased:
IwillputmySpiritonhim.
Hewillproclaimjusticetothenations.
12.19Hewillnotstrive,norshout;
neitherwillanyonehearhisvoiceinthestreets.
12.20Hewon’tbreakabruisedreed.
Hewon’tquenchasmokingflax,
untilheleadsjusticetovictory.
12.21Inhisname,thenationswillhope.”
12.22Thenonepossessedbyademon,blindandmute,wasbrought
tohimandhehealedhim,sothattheblindandmutemanbothspoke
andsaw.12.23Allthemultitudeswereamazed,andsaid,“Canthis
bethesonofDavid?”12.24ButwhenthePhariseesheardit,theysaid,
