Untill2010China’slegislationsandjudicialinterpretationsconcern-
ingconflictrulesforforeign-relatedcivilrelationslawhavecoveredthe
nationality,domicileorhabitualresidence,capacityforcivilrightsand
civilconducts,prescription,propertyrights,contract,tort,negotiablein-
struments,maritime,aviation,marriage,adoption,guardianship,sup-
port,inheritanceandotherareas.Accordingtothestatistics,thereare
already470legalprovisionsconcerningchoice-of-lawrulesforforeign-
relatedcivilrelationslaiddowninmorethan140laws,regulations,ju-
dicialinterpretationsandlocallawsandregulations,whichinitiallyset
upthesystemofapplicationoflawforforeign-relatedcivilrelationsin
China.25
