Abstract
AsSupplyChainTransparencyisakeysuccessfactorforeffectiveSupplyChainEvent
Management(SCEM),manycompanieswanttotrack&tracetheirindividualorders.AnewSCEM
conceptusesproveninternet-basedtechnologiesandtheGlobalPositioningSystem(GPS)on
smartphonestoovercomegivenmediabreaksofproprietoryITsystemsandaddressesexisting
obstacles,especiallyinthefieldsofintermodaltransports.Withtheintegrationofcommon
smartphonetechnologiesandtransformationofsocialnetworkprinciplesintotheprofessionalfieldof
logistics,astate-of-the-arttoolkitisbeingdevelopedforcomplexsupplynetworks.Researched
benefitsresultinaquickandinteractiveinformationflowwithregardstothetransparencyof
transportsandshippeditems.Gatheredinformationcanbepublishedquicklytoallrelevant
stakeholdersinrealtime(likethesender,theshipperorthereceiverofaload).
