Preface
Accountingandfinancearethosedisciplinesofeconomicsciencesinwhich
quantitativemethodsareoftenused:statistics,econometricsandoperational
research.Thesemethodsmakepossiblethequantificationofdifferenteconomic
occurrencesandtheobjectivityoftheestimationoftheseoccurrences.Whatisalso
importantisthefactthatinaccountingandfinancialanalysesoneistodealwith
numerousempiricaldatasets.
Thestudyshowsselectedproblemsoffinanceandaccounting,essentialfor
boththeoryandpractice.Italsopresentswaysofmeasurementandestimationof
definiteeconomic-financialoccurrences.Tosolvenumerousproblems,themethods
ofdescriptiveandmathematicalstatisticsandmultidimensionalcomparative
analysisareused.Inordertoshowtheapplicationsofthesemethods,empirical
