thelatestfashion.Nevertheless,asthisbookproves,itstillremainslivelyand

stilloffersalotofinspirationbothtotheaudienceandtotheresearchers.De-

spiteitslonghistoryradioisstillabletochangeandtomakeaproperuseofthe

newtechnologies.Welistentotheradioduringworkandonthewaytowork;in

hurry,earlyinthemorningwhenweneedtoﬁndoutaboutthelatestnews,and

morecomfortablyatnight,whenweneedtorelax.Wemayaccessitthrough

analogor(insomeplaces)digitalradioset,internetormobilephone.Weare

surroundedbyradiomessagesinsomeshops,restaurants,taxisorofﬁces.But

afterahundredyearsofitsexistencedowereallyknowallaboutradio?

Thequestionisrhetorical.Westilllearnalotaboutthisfascinatingmedium.

Thisbookattemptstorisesomequestionsaboutradio,sroleinmodernsociety

themarereﬂectedthroughtheradiobroadcastandthechangesofitsaesthetics.
