Abstract
TheresearchdescribesthephenomenonofChinesenationalisminthecontext
oftheforeignpolicycomponentofthemassconsciousnessofresidentsinChina.
TheideasofChinesenationalismbecomemorepopularbothontheindividual
levelandthelevelofmassconsciousness.Thisisaccordingtoopinionpolls,data
fromthemedia,aswellasviewswidelyspreadamongtheintellectualelite.
Between2000–2010therewasasignificantriseofnationalisminChina.The
reasonwasthetransformationofChinesepublicopinion.Undertheinfluenceof
progressinthedevelopmentofChina,peoplehavecometorealizethatmodern
Chinacertainlyplaysacrucialroleinworldpoliticsandeconomics.
AcharacteristicfeatureofmodernChinesenationalismisthatitproliferates
faroutsideofChina.Currently,itsmaincontentisagrowinganti-Americanand
anti-Japaneseviews.
TheideasofmodernChinesenationalismhavebecomemostprevalent
amongtheyoungergenerationofChinesecitizens.Theseprocessesarepartially
controlledbythePRCauthorities,whoneedthepopulationtohavecertain
ideologicalorientation.
ConsideringtheriseofnationalisminChinawecanseetheappearanceof
thelChineseDream’conceptin2012.
