Weareverykeenonprovidingpublicaccess
toarchivalsourcesandoncontinuingtheresearch
onAlinaSzapocznikow’sœuvre,asweareconvinced
thattheprojectcouldbeoneofthemostinteresting
challengestoacademicsspecializingintheartofthe
twentiethcentury.Theartandlifeofthisartist,who
hasremainedoutsidetheculturalcenter,arenow
revisitedandreadanew,revealingthepossibilities
opentocontemporaryarthistory,whichwelcomes
newinterdisciplinaryinspirations.Forthatreason,all
theelementsoftheprojectdevotedtoAlina
SzapocznikowattheMuseumofModernArt
inWarsaw—includingthepresentpublication—have
beenintendedasaforumforarthistorians,critics,
andcuratorswhowishtojoinintheresearchonher
heritage.
