IntheroofsoftheFranciscanconventsofTz-
intzuntzan,ErongaricuaroandZacapu,despitehav-
ingfullRenaissanceelements,Mudéjarartcanbe
appreciatedbytheuseofthealfizframingofthe
entrancearch,andbytheajimezthatadornsthe
choirwindow(illl2)lTheFranciscanconventual
complexofTzintzuntzan,foritshistoricalandar-
chitecturalvalue,deservesspecialmentioninthis
work;thus,adetaileddescriptionismadethereof

Thefaçadeofthemonasterycomplexincludes

Inside,thecloisterisconfiguredwithaquadrangu-
larcourtyard,coveredbyabarrelvaultmadewith
carvedstone,surroundedbywoodenroofcorridors
withgeometricpatternsatthecornersthatcanbe
considereduniqueintheirkindintheMichoacán
