Studenthaveto:
BePrepared:Astudenthastobepreparedtoeverylabexercisethatwillbeper-
formed.Thestudentshouldreadlabmanualtoknowexactlywhatwillbedoing.
Followallwrittenandverbalinstructionscarefully.Ifdonotunderstandadirection
orthepartoftheprocedure,ASKtheteacherBEFOREproceedingwiththeactivity.
Workundersupervision:Nostudentmaycameintolaboratorywithoutthepres-
enceofateacher.Nostudentmayworkinthelaboratorywithoutthepresenceofthe
teacher.Donottouchanyequipment,chemicals,orothermaterialsinthelaboratory
areauntilyouareinstructedtodoso.Performonlyexperimentsauthorizedbyteacher.
BeNeat:Whenworkinginachemistrylab,makesureyoukeepyourareaneat
andorganized.Ifyouhappentospillsomething,askforassistancewhencleaning
itup.Alsoremembertocleanworkareaandwashhandswhenyouarefinished.
BeCareful:Animportantinchemistrylaboratoryistobecareful.Studentswill
beworkingwithglassorsharpobjects.Ifnothandledwithcare,glasswarecan
causeseriousharm.Notifyyourteacherifyoubreakglassware.Disposeofbroken
glassintheappropriatecontainer.
