Creativeself-efficacymaybedefinedasone’sbeliefinone’sowncom-
petenceintheareaofcreativity.Suchefficacymaybeanalyzedfurther
andinmoredetailamongdifferentdomainsofcreativity,butalsoat
amoregenerallevel,suchasabeliefthatanindividualhasenoughabili-
tiestosolveproblemscreatively,isabletofindnewwaysofdeveloping
ideasorpossessesanytalentsandabilitieswhichmakecreativeefforts
possible.Studiesconductedbycreativityscholarsconcentrateondifferent
aspectsofcreativeself-efficacy.Beghetto(2006)analyzedschool-and
class-levelcorrelates,alongwiththerelationsbetweenindividualcrea-
tivestyles.Tierney(1997)studiedcognitiveclimateandcreativeself-
efficacy.Karwowski(2009a)concentratedonanaccuracyofcreative
self-efficacyanditsindividualandsocialantecedents.Finally,Jaussi,
Randel&Dionne(2007)demonstratedtherelationsbetweencreative
self-efficacyandcreativepersonalidentity,andTierney&Farmer
(2002)showedinfluenceofcreativeself-efficacyonworkperformance.
Beghetto(2006)identifiedasetofimportantcorrelatesofself-
efficacyamongmiddleandsecondarystudents.Heshowedthatschool
climateispositivelyrelatedtocreativeself-efficacyaswellasmastery
goalsintheclassroom.Atthesametime,creativeself-efficacycorrelated
positivelywithSESandwashigheramongmalesthanfemales.
Tierney(1997)analyzedtherelationsbetweencreativeself-efficacy
andcreativestyles.Theauthorfoundpositiverelationsbetweeninnova-
tivenessasdefinedintheKirton(1976)modelandcreativeself-efficacy.
Also,therelationsbetweenteamclimateandcreativeself-efficacywere
significantandpositive.Cognitiveclimatewasoperationalizedthereas
anaveragedcognitivestyleofteammembers.
Jaussi,Randel&Dionne(2007)madethedistinctionbetween
creativeself-efficacyandpersonalcreativeidentity.Intheirconception,
althoughbothconceptsaresignificantlyrelatedtoeachother,theyare
alsodifferentinconnotation.Creativeself-efficacydescribesoverallbe-
liefaboutone’sefficiencyinsolvingcreativeproblemsandbehavingcrea-
tively,whereascreativepersonalidentityisalsoconnectedwiththeissue
ofhowmuchcreativityisvaluedandtowhatextentitistreatedasan
importantpartofanindividual’sidentity.Bothcharacteristicsweresig-
nificantlycorrelated,andbothwereexplainingthevarianceofeffective
functioninginworkenvironmentbeyondthesecondpredictor.

izedbyBaer,Oldham,Jacobson&Hollingshead(Baeretal.,2008).
