TheentirematerialcontainedinpartIIshould,thus,providethe
learnerofPolishwithsomewhatdifferentexercisesfromthosehereto-
foreencountered2,onespermittingindependentperformanceofspe-
cificoperationsonthelanguage;aswellasfillinthegapleftbyalack
ofsyntacticexercisesinthedidacticexerciseaidlibraryinthearea
ofPolishasaforeignlanguage3.Atthesametime,theforeign-lan-
gua-geusershouldreceiveananswertothreesimplequestions,such
as:Whoisspeaking?Towhomiss/hespeaking?Aboutwhatiss/he
speaking?
Thesyntacticexercisesaredual-purpose.Theyshouldpermit,first
ofall,practicalapplicationofgrammaticalinformationandrulesinthe
areaofsyntax;andsecondly,bettermasteryofthecomplexprocess
oflinkinglexemesintocorrectsentences,aswellasofsentencetrans-
formation.
Forthisreason,therefore,thepresentpublicationpresents
aratherwiderangeofexercises,fromthemostclassictothetransform-
ational,e.g.:Lekarzdyżurowałzwykleodósmejdodwunastej.
