Everyyear,thankstothecommitmentandconsistencyofallSOCIE-
TASmembers,ascientificconferenceisheld,onthemostcurrentissues
ofcompanylawpresentedfromacomparativeperspective.Asapartof
cooperationinSOCIETASnetwork,conferencesarecarriedoutinthe
academiccentresofnetworkscholarmembers.Teelectofeachconfer-
enceisamonographicpublication,thuscreatingaseriesofcomparative
legalpublicationsdevotedtotheselectedproblemsofcompanylaw.
TescholarsoftheFacultyofLawandAdministrationoftheUni-
versityofGdanskareinvolvedintheoperationanddevelopmentofthe
networkfromtheverybeginning.ProfessorDorotaMaśniakcontribut-
edtotheestablishmentoftheorganisationasitsfounderand,fromthe
beginning,holdsthefunctionoftheVicePresidentofSOCIETAS.Pro-
fessorEdvardasJuchneviciusisthememberofSOCIETAS,responsible
fortherepresentationofLithuaniainthepartofresearch,ledbyhimself.
Inadditiontoinfluencingthedirectionofresearch,choiceoftopics,they
arebothactiveparticipantsoftheSOCIETASconferencesandauthors
ofpublications,aswellascoordinatorsofworkingmeetingsinGdansk.
