Fromalltheabovewemaydrawaconclusionthatthechildhasaright

tobeloved,whichgivesthepropermeaningtoallotherparticularrights,

whilethemotherhasarighttoberecognizedinhersociallysigniﬁcant

diferencefromthefather(besidestheobviousandveryimportantoverall

similarityandexchangeabilityoftheparents’roles).Fromthetheoretical

discussionwemaythenfollowontothepracticalapplicationofthese

ﬁndings.ThesocialteachingoftheCatholicChurchincludedsuchdirec-

tivesasitisshowninJohnPaulII’sencyclicalLaboremexercens:“Expe-

rienceconﬁrmsthattheremustbeasocialre-evaluationofthemother’s

role,ofthetoilconnectedwithit,andoftheneedthatchildrenhave

inmanysocietieswomenworkinnearlyeverysectoroflife.Butitis

ﬁttingthattheyshouldbeabletofulﬁltheirtasksinaccordancewith

theirownnature,withoutbeingdiscriminatedagainstandwithoutbeing

excludedfromjobsforwhichtheyarecapable,butalsowithoutlackof

respectfortheirfamilyaspirationsandfortheirspeciﬁcroleincontrib-

uting,togetherwithmen,tothegoodofsociety

ofwomenrequiresthatlabourshouldbestructuredinsuchawaythat

womendonothavetopayfortheiradvancementbyabandoningwhat

isspeciﬁctothemandattheexpenseofthefamily

vatesphere.Instead,ittriestopointourattentiontothevalueofwomen’s

speciﬁcityinmakingclearthecentralvalueofhumanrelatedness,person-

hood,andlove,whichneedtoberespectedandvaluedbyeveryone,and

thatiswhythefemaleroleofmothers(whetherjoinedwiththeirprofes-

sionalcareersoutsidehomeornot)callsforspecialrecognitionbysociety

anditsvariousinstitutionswhichmayletwomenchoosehowtheirwant

tocontributetheirfemininitytotherestofsociety
