Itisobviousfromtheaboveanalysisthattherelultsobtainedfromthecircuit-
fieldfiniteelementmodelareveryclosetomeasurements,thereforeanadequacy
ofthemodelelaboratedhasbeenconfirmed.Thediscrepancybetweencalculated
andmeasuredwaveformsisaresultofrelativelysmallmechanicalstiffnessofa
teststandwhatisparticularlyvisibleindynamicconditions.Bothshapeandmag-
nitudeofpredictedcurrentwaveformsinthesteady-statearenearlysamewith
thosemeasuredonthelaboratorymodelwhatconfirmsthecorrectnessofthemul-
tisliceskewapproximationtechnique.
4.CONCLUSIONS
Thispaperpresentsanempiricalverificationoftheafield-circuitmodelofa
squirrelcageinductionmotor.Theresultsofcalculationswerecomparedwithtest
resultsobtainedfromthelaboratorymodelshowinghighadequacyofthemathe-
maticalmodel.
Theaccuracyofsimulationresultsreliesmainlyuponproperestimationof
temperatureriseofsquirrelcagemotorparts.Ittakesroughly10secondstoper-
formthelocked-rotortestforvoltagerangefrom100Vto380V.Evenduringthat
shortperiodthetemperatureofstatorwindingmayrisebysome

Thehighaccuracyofsimulationresultswasachievedbecausetheeffectsof
temperaturevariationofthewindingweretakenintoaccount.Higherdiscrepancy
