ingsbeforetheadministrationbody.Inthelattercase,theadministrationbody
playstheroleofboththeentitybeforewhomthes.ismade,aswellasthebody
authorizingthes.Onceapprovedbytheadministrationbody,thes.hasthesame
effectasthe→administrativedecisioninaparticularcase.InthePolishadmin-
istrativelawthes.ismadebetweenthepartiestotheproceedingsbeforethe
administrationbody,butitisnotaverycommonsolution.Since2017,mediation
hasbeenintroducedinthec.a.p.asanewinstrumenttosettleacaseamicably.
Thes.canonlybemadeduringthe→administrativeproceedingsinthepending
case,bothbeforethebodyofthefirstinstanceandintheappealproceedings.
Thesubjectofthes.mustconcernthelegalinterestorobligationofthepar-
tiestotheproceedingsandshouldallowthepossibilityofnegotiationastothe
outcomeofthecase.Theadministrationbodyisresponsibleforthecontentand
formofthes.Thecontentofthesettlementrecordsthereciprocalrightsand
obligationsoftheparties.Whenapprovingthes.theadministrationbodyadju-
dicatestheacceptedresolution.Thesettlingofacasethroughs.isrecordedin
thefilesofthecase.Thes.becomesexecutablewhenitbecomesfinal.Ifduring
thependingproceedingsthepartiesfailtoreachanagreementandthusdonot
settlethecase,thematterwillberesolvedbytheadministrativebodythrough
anadministrativedecision.Ifthes.ismadeintheappealsproceedings,thedeci-
sionofthebodyofthefirstinstanceisrepealedasofthedatewhenthedecision
issuedbytheappealbodybecomesfinal.(→principleofamicablesettlingof
