Preface
Thefollowingtextbookisdevotedtothestudentsofhydrographywhopossessnotlessthan
intermediatecommandofEnglishlanguage(CEFRB1minimum)andwishtofamiliarizethem-
selveswiththevocabularyspecifcfortheirfeldofstudy–hydrography.Thepublicationcon-
tainstenunits.Eachofthemreferstoadifferenttopicconnectedwithhydrographyamong
others:sonars,surveyplanning,transducers.Thetextswithinthepublicationarefollowedby
asetofexerciseswhichaimatdevelopingsubjectmattervocabularyaswellastheprac-
ticeofreadingcomprehensionskills.Studentsmayrefertothevocabularysetsintheglossary
beloweachtextaswellastheglossaryattheendofthetextbook.Hopefully,thefollowing
