intoaccountmanypointsofview,leadtomoralprogress?Does
progressconcernthesphereofthemoralconsciousnessandchanges
inmoralpractices,ordoesitrefertotheveryhierarchyofvalues?
Thereisafundamentaldifferencebetweenrelativismandthetempo-
rarynatureofnormativesolutions.Ifwedecidethataparticularactis
properhereandhow,whilebeingawarethatitsevaluationmay
changeinthefuturethisdoesnotmeanrelativismyet,understood
aslatitudeinmakingchoices.

Whatwedomustbereflectedupon,otherwisewewillstartloosing
thatwhichisspecificallyhuman.Wewanttotakeacloserlookatthe
relationshipbetweentimeandmoralactstakenconsciously,reflec-
tively.Theproblemoftimeisveryimportantforabetterunderstand-
ingofresponsibility,whichisunderstoodtodaymorebroadlythanjust
liabilityforourfreechoices.Itisalsoresponsibilityforboththeexist-
enceoftheworldandthehumankind,andforthewellbeingofgenera-
tionstocome.Responsibility,intoday’smeaningoftheword,has
areferencetosociallifesometimeinthefuture,evenoverextended
periodsoftime.Canwe,however,freelystretchthescopeofthisno-
tionwithoutmakingittooambiguous,or,evenworse,looseitsmean-
ingaltogether?Seeingthatonecannotpossiblytakesuchgreatre-
sponsibilityupononeself,andthusitcaneasilybeevaded?
