ThetoolsandmechanismusedinPolandtofinancethediversetypesofin-
frastructurehaveevolvedoverthelastfifteenyears.Toagreatextentthiswas
thedirecteffectofthecountry’smembershipintheEuropeanUnion.However9
thepolicieswereabletoevolveduetoamorerobusteconomyandincreasing
administrativecapacitiesofpublicbodies.Onecannotalsoforgetthefactthatthe
EU-membershipwasafactorincreasingthemarket-relatedpotentialofthePolish
economy.
Thismanuscript’sambitionistoprovideacomprehensiveoverthevarious
mechanismthatwereusedinthelastfifteenyearstofinancethedevelopmentof
infrastructureinPoland.Thebookdescribesthemajorandmostpopularmeth-
ods9aswellastheirevolutionovertime.Thefirstpartoftheworkdescribesthe
legalandorganisationalframeworkofinfrastructurerelatedpolicies9aswellas
providesanoverlookonthemacroeconomiccontextofformulatinginfrastructure
policiesinPoland.
Thesecondpartofthebookdescribesthreemajorgroupsoftoolsaswellas
provideinformationontheirevolutionandefficiency.

subsidiesandsimilarfundingopportunities9infrastructureisbeingdeveloped
