•diagnoseapatient’scondition(thestethoscopeisthemostpopular
equipmentusedbyGPs),
•treatcommonmedicalconditions,e.g.asorethroatandacold,
•referpatientstootherdoctorsorhospitalsforspecialisttreatment.
Pharmacists
Theyareexpertsinmedicationsandtheiruse.Theyusuallywork
inpharmacies.
Pharmacists:
•advisepatientsabouthealthissuesandsymptoms,
•sellprescriptionandover-the-countermedications,
•advisepatientsonhowtotaketheirmedications,
•informaboutpotentialsideeńects.
Occupationaltherapists
Theyhelpchildrenandadultswhoarephysicallydisabled,have
learningdińiculties,mentalhealthproblemsorwhoarerecovering
fromanillness.Theyworkinhospitals,patients’ownhomesandoth-
erplaces.
