•administermedicationsandvaccinesprescribedbyaveterinarian.
Veterinarytechnologistsusuallyworkinalaboratorysetting,wheretheymay
administermedicationsorpreparetissuesamplesforexamination.
Veterinarytechniciansusuallyworkinprivateclinicalpracticeswherethey
helpveterinariansconductdiagnostictests.Someoftheirworkisdone
inalaboratorysetting,buttheyalsoneedtocommunicatewithanimal
ownersandgiveinformationontheirpets’conditionandhowtoadminister
theprescribedmedications.
