Scholars)Sessionon20September.AttheassemblyheldinSantiagodeCom-
postelaon10June2016,theELLYSdecidedtodedicate2017toCOrganization,
ProductivityandWell-beingatWork.
)miswasaddressedinthesessioncon-
gress,ańeritwaswelldevelopedduringtheEuropeanYoungScholarsmeet-
ing,whichwasheldinGdańskon5-7July.ELLYSco-ordinatorsprepared
communicationsandcallsforpapersandparticipation.
Furthermore,andasalreadyannouncedintheYoungScholarsSession
heldduringtheCapeTownWorldCongress,theJapanAssociationorganised
during2017aSeminarinTokyoandagroupofAsianscholarswhowillbe
selectedandinvitedbytheorganisers.
Lastly,andgiventhesuccessofandthebroadparticipationintheseminar
andtheresponsetothecallforpapers,theISLSSLBoard,theVeniceSeminar
OrganisersandtheYoungScholarSectionwerecommittedtorepeatingthe
VeniceSeminarin2017withthesameorganisationalstructure(seminarplus
callforpapers)asin2016.
misbriefsummarycanbereadnotonlyasalistofactivities,butalso
asasignalofanemergingnewculturaldimensionofouracademicpursuits,
which,whiletheyfollowfullythetraditionalapproach,addsomeinnovative
nuancesandexemplifyanambitiontocultivatemethodologicaladjustments.
Newgenerationsoflabourlawscholarsarefacedwiththetaskofcomprehend-
ing,interpretingandelaboratingtheroleofouracademicdisciplineinacontext
thatisreaching,asiscommonlyknown,beyondwell-knownformsofemploy-
mentandlabourregulations.Moreover,thiscontextisbecomingmoreandmore
interconnectedinmanysenses(social,institutional,technological,economic).
Inevitably,theseevolutionsarereflecteddeeplyinthesystemsofthesourc-
esofrules,intheroleofthetraditionalpartsofindustrialdialogueandcon-
flictsandinthesamemethodsandrulesofinterpretation.
