Modelingofthepropertiessuperconductingmaterialsisdiscussed.Thesepropertiesare
dividedintothreegroups.Firstonearethermodynamicproperties,suchascritical
temperature,energygap,reversiblemagnetizationcurveandthermodynamiccritical
magneticfield,whicharebasedonfundamentalprinciplesofsuperconductingstate.
Secondpropertiesarebasedonthepurityofthesamplesdescribedbythemeanelectron
freepath.Examplesoftheseparametersareupperandlowercriticalmagneticfield,
coherencelength,penetrationdepthaswellastheshapeofthetransitioncurvetothe
superconductingstate.Thirdcategoryofsuperconductingpropertiesisbasedonthe
magneticirreversibilityeffectsandtothisclassbelongthepropertiesdependentonthe
irreversibilityofmagnetizationcurve,describingthecriticalcurrentandpinningforces.
Thegeneratedlossesarealsoinvestigated.Especialattentionisdevotedinthepaperto
thepresentationoftheactualstatusoftheapplicationsuperconductingmaterialsin
electricityandgenerallycryogenics,justnow100yearsafterfirstheliumliquefaction.
Relatedsubjectofrenewableenergy,includingapplicationinitsuperconducting
devicesisdiscussed.Theoriginalresultsofauthor’sworksareinthebookincludedtoo.
