isFunctionalUrology.HeestablishedFellowshipPrograminFunctionalUrologyandtrainedseveralnational
andinternationalfellows.Hepublishedover150papersandbookchaptersandhadover200presentations.He
hasbeenanactivememberoftheCanadianUrologicalAssociation(CUA)formanyyears.HewasTreasurer
forseveralyearsandthanPresident2009-2010oftheCanadianUrologicalAssociation(CUA).Hewasalsoone
oftheinitiators(2010)oftheannualscientificandtrainingexchangeprogrambetweentheCanadian(CUA)
andtheEuropeanAssociationofUrology(EAU).Heisalsooneofthefoundersoftheorganizationbetween
theCanadian(CUA)andChinese(CUA)urologicalsocieties-“TheNormanBethuneUrologicalSociety”.He
isarecipientofCUALifeAchievementAward(2014)andCUAGoldenLithotriteAwardin2018.Hehasbeen
amemberoftheAmericanUrologicalAssociation(AUA)since1998.HehasbeenalsoamemberoftheAUA
HistoricalCommittee.HewaselectedPresidentoftheNortheastSection(NEAUA)in2013-2014.HeisaPast
ChairofthePublicationandCommunicationCommitteeandthePastTrusteeandTreasureroftheInternational
ContinenceSociety(ICS).Authorandco-authorofmanyICSguidelines.HewasforyearsonEditorialBoard
of“NeurourologyandUrodynamics”nowonEditorialBoardofthenewICSjournal“Continence”Hereceived
