18.15“Ifyourbrothersinsagainstyou,go,showhimhisfaultbetween

brother.18.16Butifhedoesn’tlisten,takeoneortwomorewithyou,
thatatthemouthoftwoorthreewitnesseseverywordmay
beestablished.18.17Ifherefusestolistentothem,tellittothe
assembly.Ifherefusestoheartheassemblyalso,lethimbetoyou
asaGentileorataxcollector.18.18MostcertainlyItellyou,whatever
thingsyoubindonearthwillhavebeenboundinheaven,andwhatever
thingsyoureleaseonearthwillhavebeenreleasedinheaven.18.19

concerninganythingthattheywillask,itwillbedoneforthem

18.22Jesussaidtohim,“Idon’ttellyouuntilseventimes,but,until
seventytimesseven.18.23ThereforetheKingdomofHeavenislike
acertainking,whowantedtoreconcileaccountswithhisservants.18.24
Whenhehadbeguntoreconcile,onewasbroughttohimwhoowed

ofsilver)representsanextremelylargesumofmoney,equivalent
toabout60,000,000denarii,whereonedenariuswastypicalofone
day’swagesforagriculturallabor.]18.25Butbecausehecouldn’tpay,
hislordcommandedhimtobesold,withhiswife,hischildren,andall
thathehad,andpaymenttobemade.18.26Theservantthereforefell
downandkneltbeforehim,saying,‘Lord,havepatiencewithme,and
Iwillrepayyouall!’18.27Thelordofthatservant,beingmovedwith
compassion,releasedhim,andforgavehimthedebt.
18.28“Butthatservantwentout,andfoundoneofhisfellowservants,
whoowedhimonehundreddenarii,[100denariiwasaboutone
sixtiethofatalent,orabout500grams(1.1pounds)ofsilver.]and
