tibilityfactors,thecriticalhydraulicloadfactorsandthecriticalstresscriterion

considersthecharacteristicofgrainsandparticlesaswellasthesoilstructure,
andtheirparticipationtosoilsusceptibilitytotheoccurrenceofdeformationsdue
toseepage.Thehydrauliccriterionisdiscussedintermsoftwohydrauliccondi-
tions,definedbyhydraulicgradientsandflowvelocities,permissibleandcritical,
withtheconsiderationofthesceneandthedirectionofflow.Theroleofstress
