Theexperimentswereperformedontwotypesofspecimensthatrepresentedhigh-
voltagecableinsulation.Thefirstone,denotedas(PK),representstheinsulatingpaper,
whilethesecondone(XLPE)representsthecross-linkedpolyethylene.Bothspecimens
containedthesamesizeoftheembeddedvoidshowninFigure3.9.Theelectricalprop-
ertiesofthespecimens(specifically,permittivityandresistivity)areshowninTable3.1.
