OperatingasasubprojectofthePolish-EgyptianArchaeologicalandConservationMissiontothe
HatshepsutTempleatDeirel-Bahari
Teprojectisaimedatreconstructingfromfragmentstheiconographicprogramofthedecoration
oftheTempleofTuthmosisIIIinDeirel-Bahari.Tetheoreticalreconstructionofthevarious
templechambersisparticularlyadvancedwithregardtothepaintedreliefdecorationofwallsof
thetempleintheHypostyleHall,Sanctuary,andRoomsD,GandH.Tereconstructiondrawings
werecheckedagainstthereliefs,verifiedandcompleted.Teprocessofcomplementingdrawings
withphotographsofsurvivingfragmentsprogressed,allowingphotomontagesofchosenpartsof
thedecorationtobeprepared.A3Dreconstructionmodelofthetemplewasprocessedand26large
blocksandfragmentsofOsiridestatuesweredocumentedwithorthophotography.Allthewhile
restorersworkedonreconstructingfromfragmentsthelasttwodecoratedblocksfromtheeastwall
oftheSanctuary.
