thosetranslatorswho,overmanyyearsoftheirprofessionalexperience,have
developedtheirownroutines.Itholdstrueespeciallyifthesepracticeshave
provedeIcientenoughevenifrecentlythetranslatorshavesensedthegrow-
ingcompetitiononthepartoftheirmoretechnologicallyaptcolleagues,to
saynothingoftheso-calleddigitalnatives.Forthelatter,masteringnew
technologiesisonlynaturalandnecessaryfortheirabilitytofunctionin
theirsocialandprofessionalgroups.Still,regardlessoftheongoingtechno-
logicalrevolutionandthetranslator’sbeatentracks,thereisenoughroom
fortheenhancementofthebrainpowerbasedcapital.memoresothatit
hasapotentialofbridgingthegapbetweenthoseeagerlyadaptingtothe
cuttingedgetechnologicalolerandthosereluctanttoaccepttheprimacyof
thelatter.SiTmayprovetobethemissingpieceinthepuzzle,composedof
translationcommissioners’demands,translationcostandeIciency,transla-
tionaidingtechnologies,thepoweroftranslators’andinterpreters’brains,
theirstressresistanceandsenseofprofessionalsatisfaction.
