1.3.Usersofinformafionprovidedbyaccounfing
Expectationsofentitiesusinginformationderivedfromtheaccountingsystem
mayvaryanddependontherelationshipwiththeenterprise.Usingthereport-
inginformation,theseentitiesanalyze,assessandcontroltheoperationsofen-
terpriseswhoseresultsarethebasisfortheirdecisions.Thetypeofinformation
entitiesusedependsonthetypeofdecisionsthataremadeonitsbasis.There-
fore,theaccountingsystemshouldgeneratevariousreportsfordifferentusers.
Thecredibilityofthedatatransmittedthroughthesereportsshouldbeunques-
tionable,whichisaconditionforthecorrectinterpretationoftheinformation
containedtherein.Accountingprovidesinformationtobothinternalusers(en-
terprisemanagement)andexternalusers(seefigure1).
