wasundoubtedlyofapoliticalnatureandwasdirectedatarelatively
broadtargetwhichincludedpoliticalpartiesofalltypesaswellas
therulingclassofthetime.AmeetingheldinWarsawinJune2013
broughtabouttheannouncementofthecreationofaPoliticalAdvisory
Board(RadaPolityczna)topromotetheinclusionofwomeninparty
candidatelists.Theideaofformingpoliticalpartywasalsodiscussed.
Nevertheless,forthemoment,theCongresshasnotsetaboutforming
aparty(limiting’itselftopresentingitscandidatesonthepartylistof
thecoalitionEuropePlusYourMove(EuropaPlusTwójRuch).The
politicalpostulateswillthereforecontinuetoemergeamongothergoals
takenupbytheassociation.IntheSPACEperspectivetheCongressof
Womenisanexampleofasocialorganization,withabroadspectrumof
interests,whoseactivityinthepoliticalspherehasbeenacrucialissue
fromthebeginning.Whatismoretheassociationpartlywonthebattle
foragenderquotaonpartylists.Thishasshownthatasocialactorwho
notonlypostulates,butalsoproposessolutions,canpermanentlychange
thepoliticalcontext.ThusCongressinfluence,apartfromaffectingthe
realmofsociallife,advancesthedevelopmentofrigidpartystructuresin
aGtop-down”manner.
Sobolewska-MyślikandKasprowiczdescribeyetanotherexample,
thewellknownPolishtradeUnionSolidarność,bothinitshistoric
roleofasocialmovementactiveinthepoliticsoftransitionaswell
asitscontemporaryattemptstoinfluencepoliticsinamannerthatis
characteristicofpoliticalpartiesbutwithouttakingtheirform.Łukasz
ZweiffelanalysesRAŚ(MovementforAutonomyofSilesia),an
associationwhichengagesinpoliticsbutwithouttheGpoliticalform”of
aregularparty.
Thesphereinwhichtraditionalpoliticalinstitutionsandsocialinterests
meet,isfullofsuchnewinitiatives.Inthenownot-so-newdemocracies
theyaresymbolsofanewconfigurationofthepoliticalspherewhich
isintheprocessofbeingshaped–anemergingconfigurationofwhich
mainstreampoliticiansareseldomconscious.
