musthavetakenplaceatatimewhenroomL31was
nolongerinuse.
TheareauncoveredimmediatelyoutsideL31
wasmostprobablyanopenairspace.Nostructures
havebeenidentifiedhere,onlylevelsofgreyish
packedearthwithsinglesherds,characteristicfor
yardsorstreets.0nlysouthofroomL31,closeto
thestreet,alevelcomposedofamudbrickpatch-
workwasuncovered(L33).

TheWesternUnitisassociatedwithPhaseD
(stratum4and5)[Fig.3.44].Itisanarealocat-
edwestofthestreetandmostprobablyhadthe
