abouther,andajourneyoffortymilesbeforeher–not
byrail–toWyvern,hadstooduptohugandkissherold
aunt,andbidhergood-bye.
“Now,dositdownagain;youneednotbeinsuch
ahurryyou’renottogofortenminutesormore,said
theoldlady;“do,there’sadarling.”
“IfI’mnothomebeforethesungoesdown,aunt,Mr.
Fairfieldwillbesoangry,"saidthegirl,layingahand
oneachshoulderofkindoldLadyWyndale,and
lookingfondly,butalsosadly,intoherface.
