extendedresearchresultspreviouslydiscussedatscientificseminarsofthe
InstituteofComputerScienceand/orpublishedinthescientificjournal
entitledInformaticaStudies.SystemsandInformationTechnologypub-
lishedbytheScientificPublishingHouseoftheSiedlceUniversityofNatural
SciencesandHumanities.Thecurrentmonographconsistsofsixchapters
coveringsuchimportantandcurrentissuesofartificialintelligenceas:Clus-
terAnalysis,SmartMobileDevice,ArtificalNeuralNetworkMethods,Inter-
netofThings,Cybersecurity[13].
IntheinChapter1bydrhab.Eng.JerzyTchórzewskiandMSc.Tomasz
Kaniapresentstheresultsofcomparativeresearchonselectedmethodsof
clusteranalysis,importantfromthepointofviewofpotentialapplicationsin
thepowerindustry,whichwerecarriedoutfromthepointofviewoftheiruse
intheanalysisofdataontheoperationoftheNationalPowerSystemin
Poland.Itturnedoutthatfortheclusteranalysisfortheneedsofdataanal-
ysisinthepowerindustry,itisworthusingtwoalgorithmsinparticular,
i.e.theWardalgorithmandthealgorithmofself-organizingtwo-dimensional
maps(SOM).Clusteranalysismethodswereprecededbyareviewofhier-
archicalandnon-hierarchicalmethodsofclusteranalysisandadescription
ofthepreparedexperiment.Theresultsobtainedwereinterpreted.Particu-
larattentionwaspaidtotheresultsofthereviewofselectedmethodsof
clusteranalysisandtheresearchconditionsresultingfromthevalues
adoptedfortheanalysisconcerningtheoperationoftheNationalPower
System.
