theproperperspectivesforthedevelopmentofmankind,inthesituationof
globalisation,thesolidaritybetweenpeopleisespeciallyimportant.
Farmersformoneofthosesocialgroupsthatareconsistentlyanti-globalist.
InEurope,theFrenchfarmersareespeciallyactiveinthatrespect.Besidethe
PeasantConfederationBove,theCoordinationforCitizenControloftheWorld
TradeOrganisation(CCCWTO)isparticularlyradical.Bothorganisationswere
activeinSeattleandinDavos,andbothdemand“theimpositionofthenew,
morejustconceptoftheinternationaltrade”,co-operatingatthesametimewith
theleftistgroups.TheEuropeanfarmersaresupportedbytheassociationsof
Americanfarmers,ownersofthosefamilyfarmswhicharenotabletocope
withthepriceandproductivitycompetitionofso-calledagrobusinesses.Infact,
however,whatdrivesthefarmers’protestsonbothsidesoftheAtlanticis
thefearofcompetitionandthefearofthelossofhighsubsidiesasaresult
ofgrowing,undertheauspicesofWTO,liberalisationintradeexchangeand
consequentlybroaderopeningofmarkets.Thisisparticularlywellseenwithin
theEuropeanUnion,wherethereformoftheCommonAgriculturalPolicy,
initiatedduringtheUruguayRound,istakingplace(Rowiński,2000,p.3-14).
Inconsequence,theCommonAgriculturalPolicyismovinginthedirectionof
abiggerliberalisation.
Globalisation,beinganobjectiveandallthetimemoreandmoreuniversal
phenomenon,shouldnotbedevelopinginaspontaneousway(Amin,1999),
(Stonehouse,Hamil,Campbell,Purdie,2000).Thefinancialcrisesthattook
placeattheendofthenineties,especiallyinthenewindustrialisedcountriesof
theFarEast,confirmthatopinion.Therefore,thecontroloverthetransnational
corporationsisnecessary,especiallythecontrolcarriedonbysuchinternational
organisationsasWTOandInternationalMonetaryFund.
Theeducationoflesseducatedsocietiesisveryimportantinthecontextof
theglobalisationprocessdevelopment(Tedesco,1998).Theexperienceshows
thatthetransnationalcorporationsaremuchmoreeffectiveinthecountrieswith
abettereducatedpopulation.Thiswasespeciallyclearwhenthecomparisons
ofeffectivenessweremadebetweenthecountriesoftheFarEastandofAfrica.
ItturnedoutthattheresultsachievedinAfrica,thatis,inthecountrieswith
theweakesteducationintheworld,weremuchlowerthanintheFarEast.
Consequently,onecanformaconclusionthattheforeigncapital,especiallyof
internationalcharacter,isnotinclinedtoinvestinthecountrieswithlowlevel
ofeducation(Tedesco,1998).
Theproblemofeducationinlessdevelopedcountriesinthesituationof
globalisation,andrelevantproblemsoftransnationalcorporations,ofachieving
economiceffectsandthroughthisovercomingtheeconomicunder-development
becomesthemostimportantissue.Thatiswhythisissueshouldbeincludedand
