experiencesasachildduringWWII.Wetalkedatlengthaboutvariousissues
relatedtothepersecutionbyGermanNazisandhowsheandherfamilywere
hiddenbywonderfulUkrainianpeopleinthethensoutheastofPoland.As
aGermanofthefirstgenerationafterWWIIandtheNaziterror,andinaware-
nessoftheresponsibilitynevertoforget,Ifeeladeepgratitudeforhavingmet
Majainmylifetime.Withallmyheart,Iwishhermanymorefulfillingyears
ofacademicworkandalsoinherpersonallifewithherfamily.
