Introduction
ThecreationoftheEconomicsandFinancedisciplineattheAGHUniversityofSci-
enceandTechnologyinKrakowinNovember2020contributedtotheintensificationof
researchinthebranchofsocialsciences.SincetheinceptionoftheManagementFaculty,
aconsiderablepartofthestaffofthisfacultywasactiveinresearchineconomicsand
finance.Theresultsaregradesandtitlesreceivedinthisdiscipline.Mostofthestaff
membersusequantitativemethodsintheirempiricalresearch.
TheoutbreakoftheCOVID-19pandemicin2019,anditsonsetinPolandinMarch
2020causedradicalchangesinbehaviors,laborforce,andteachingconditions,among
othereconomicandsocialaspectsallovertheWorldandinPoland.Manydifferentsec-
torsofthePolisheconomy,butmostlyservicesandinterrelatedsectors,sufferedgreatly
fromthepandemic.
Thechangesindifferentaspectsofsocialandeconomiclifebecameimportantre-
searchtopicsinthedisciplineofeconomicsandfinance.
Theresultsofempiricalstudiesonproblemsbeforeand/oraftertheoutbreakof
thepandemicarediscussedinthismonograph.
Thismonographcoversawiderangeofsubjects,however
,itsjointfeatureisthe
applicationofmoreorlessadvancedquantitativemethods.
Ihopethatthetopicspresentedinthismonographwillbeinterestingforthemem-
bersofthescientificstaffandalsostudentsandPh.D.students.
