9.Bottlesandjarswithreagentsforcommonuseshouldbeputawayintheir
rightplace.Onemustnotputorpourintothemtheremainsofnotusedup
reagents.Afteropeningabottleoradroppingfunnel,thestoppershouldnot
beputonthetableasitcanmakeitdirtyorbemistakenwiththestopperof
anothervessel.Onemustnotleaveopenbottles.
10.Inthecaseofspillingpoisoning,causticorinflammablesubstances,the
studentshouldinformthedemonstratorwhowillinstructhimwhattodo.
11.Thedemonstratorshouldbeinformedaboutanycutsorburns(thermal
andchemical)bythestudent.
12.Dressingsanddrugsforslightburnsandcutsareinthemedicinechest
inthelaboratory.
13.Oneshouldbecautiousworkingwithelectricalappliances;stickprecisely
toinstructions,donotoperatethemwithwethands,donottakedownshields,
donotcoverventilatingholesetc.
14.Toextinguishfireinthechemicallaboratoryoneshoulduse:water,glass
blanketsandfireextinguishers.Inthecaseoffireoneshould:
switchoffallelectricalappliancesandcutoffgasinflow;
extinguishfireusingaccessibleextinguishers;
removeflammablematerials;
keepcalm;
callthefire-department;
applythefirstaidproceduretothevictimsandcalltheambulance.
15.Whileusingthefireextinguisher,theprotectivesealshouldberemoved
orablockingcotterpinshouldbesetworkingandthehoseendedwithaex-
haustnozzleofextinguishingstream,e.g.CO2,shouldbedirectedtowards
theobjectonfire.
16.Inthecaseaprotectiveapronorapieceofclothescatchesfire,waterspray
situatedatthelaboratorydoorshouldbeusedimmediately.
17.Whentheworkisdone,thetableshouldbecleared,reagentsandinstru-
mentsputawayintherightplaceandhandscarefullywashed.
18.Inthecaseofanydanger,whenALARMisannounced,thestudent
mustleavethelaboratoryimmediatelyleavingallthingsincludingpersonal
onesinthelaboratory.
