WithintheInstituteofAutomaticControlattheSilesianUniversity
ofTechnology,Gliwice,Poland,theauthorhasbeendealingwiththeproblems
ofANCandASACcontinuouslysince1994.HisM.Sc.thesis,Ph.D.thesisand
Habilitationconcernedactivecontrol.Heandhiscolleagueshashadalaboratory
includingstandsforactivenoisereductioninacousticduct,activeheadsets,active
earplugs,activeheadrests,activetelephoneset,3-Denclosures,ASACwith
avibratingplate,asetforsemi-activecontrol,andamicrophonearrayof
64microphoneswithappropriatesoftwareformonitoringzonesofquiet.Alarge
ventilationsystemforanANCprojectiscurrentlybeingbuiltincooperationwith
acompany.
