TeyhavemanifestedindeliberationsofscholarssinceAristotle.Heinvent-

edtheconceptofentelecheia,whichisstillusedbymodernpsychologists.It

deﬁnesaperson)stendencytowardsandcapabilityofself-fulﬁlment,based

onthetwomostbasicfeaturesofhumanbeings:theirfacultyforself-pres-

AccordingtoRobertKegan(1982,1994),thenewworldcallsforamodern

mindsetforpeoplethatwillenableapersontobeaself-initiatingandself-eval-

uatinghumanbeing,readytoinventvalues,beliefs,convictionsandindividual
