worshiptheLordyourGod,andyoushallservehimonly.’”
4.11Thenthedevillefthim,andbehold,angelscameandservedhim.
4.12NowwhenJesusheardthatJohnwasdeliveredup,hewithdrewinto
Galilee.4.13LeavingNazareth,hecameandlivedinCapernaum,which
isbythesea,intheregionofZebulunandNaphtali,4.14thatitmight
befulfilledwhichwasspokenthroughIsaiahtheprophet,saying,
4.15“ThelandofZebulunandthelandofNaphtali,
towardthesea,beyondtheJordan,
GalileeoftheGentiles,
4.16thepeoplewhosatindarknesssawagreatlight,
tothosewhosatintheregionandshadowofdeath,
tothemlighthasdawned.”
4.17Fromthattime,Jesusbegantopreach,andtosay,“Repent!Forthe
KingdomofHeavenisathand.”
4.18WalkingbytheseaofGalilee,he[TRreads“Jesus”instead
of“he”]sawtwobrothers:Simon,whoiscalledPeter,andAndrew,
hisbrother,castinganetintothesea;fortheywerefishermen.4.19
Hesaidtothem,“Comeafterme,andIwillmakeyoufishersfor
men.”
4.20Theyimmediatelylefttheirnetsandfollowedhim.4.21Going
onfromthere,hesawtwootherbrothers,JamesthesonofZebedee,
andJohnhisbrother,intheboatwithZebedeetheirfather,mending
theirnets.Hecalledthem.4.22Theyimmediatelylefttheboatandtheir
father,andfollowedhim.
4.23JesuswentaboutinallGalilee,teachingintheirsynagogues,
preachingtheGoodNewsoftheKingdom,andhealingeverydisease
andeverysicknessamongthepeople.4.24Thereportabouthimwent
outintoallSyria.Theybroughttohimallwhoweresick,afflictedwith
variousdiseasesandtorments,possessedwithdemons,epileptics,and
paralytics;andhehealedthem.4.25GreatmultitudesfromGalilee,
Decapolis,Jerusalem,JudeaandfrombeyondtheJordanfollowed
him.
