calledasgreentechnologies.Thesehelpcompaniestoremainenvironmentally
sound(CroweandBrennan,2007)
Gasesthatwhenreleasedintotheatmospherecontributetothewarmingofthe
Earth’ssurface.GHGsincludewatervapor,carbondioxide,methane,nitrous
oxide,andozone.SomeGHGssuchascarbondioxideoccurnaturallyand
areemittedtotheatmospherethroughnaturalprocessesandhumanactivities.
MethaneisaparticularlypowerfulGHGandhas30timesmoreimpactas
aGHGthancarbondioxide(UP,2014).
