Summary:Whilethefinancialcrisiswasspreadingallaroundtheworld,thecentralbanks
startedtoimplementunconventionalmeasuresofmonetarypolicyafterhavingconcludedthat
interestratepolicywasineffective.Whenthemostturbulentperiodisover,monetary
authoritieshavetoreckonandimplementexitstrategy.Thisarticlefocusesonthebasic
dilemmaofcentralbankersconnectedwiththemonetarytightening.Theymainlyconcentrate
howandwhenmonetarypolicyshouldbetightened.Centralbanksalsotrytosupportthe
tighteningbypropercommunicationwiththemarketparticipants.Despitethelackof
unambiguousanswerstothesequestions,thispapertriestoshowthemainargumentsinthe
discussiononexitstrategy.
