culture.Thenintheseconddecadeofthepresentcentury,QueenAnnebegan

tomoveclosertocentrestage,largerythankstoheremergingreputationfor

ambiguoussexualidentity,atellingreminderofthewayinwhichacademic

studyofthepastreflectscontemporaryculturalconcerns.Thistrendis

representedinthecurrentvolumebyDorotaBabilasinanarticle[4From

QueenAnne’]whichfocusesontheroleofthe2018Oscar-nominatedfilm

TheFavourite.Theauthorexamineswaysinwhichthefilmwaspreoccupied

realbiography,andexploresre-appreciationofQueenAnneinthelightof
