tiontotheproblemofclimatechange.Asaconsequence,mediaaudiences,
notonlyintheUnitedStates,havebecomemoreawareoftheproblem.
Indeed,inaccordancewithasurveyofEurobarometer,conductedin2007,
climatechangehasbecometheenvironmentalissuethatEuropeanciti-
zensweremostworriedabout(itwasindicatedby57percentofrespon-
dents,whilein2004,sobeforeuAnInconvenientTruth”
,onlyby45per
cent).Someglobalsurveyshaveconfirmedthatconcernsabouttheenvi-
ronmenthavebeengrowingexponentiallyinthefirstdecadeofthe21st
century(Hansen,2010,pp.163-164).AnEurobarometersurveyfrom2017
showedthat92percentofallEuropeanUnioncitizensseeclimatechange
asaseriousproblemand74percentviewitasauveryserious”problem.
Accordingtothesurvey’sconclusions:uNearlynineintenbelieveitis
importantfortheirnationalgovernmenttosettargetstoincreaserenew-
ableenergyuseby2030(89%)andprovidesupportforimprovingenergy
