areductionofglobalisationtoonlyone-economic-dimension.Globalismis
definedasthestateoftheworld,inwhichnewmulticontinentalbranchessplitand
develop.Newbranchesrepresentacombinationofcapitalandgoods,information
andideas,andalsoenvironmentalandbiologicalsubstances.Globalisationandde-
globalisationreferstotheincreaseanddecreaseofglobalism.Globalisationisthe
processofenhancing,expandingglobalism.De-globalisationistheresistanceofthe
peopleagainstglobalisation,crystallizedinavarietyofanti-globalisation
movements.Iassumethatworld-widenessisthefeelingthatweliveinaworld-wide
society.Onecannotspeakofitaslimitedtoacertainarea,suchabeliefmaybejust
anillusion.Theseconceptsareusedbyexpertsinthisfieldinterchangeablywiththe
termglobalisation.
Ontheoccasionoforganizingknowledgeonglobalisationwhichcharacterizes
modernity,itisworthtopayattentionthatglobalisationisaprocess,notastate.
Ithinkthatbothwaysofperceptionarecorrect.Ifwetreatitasamechanismthat
allowsustocrossbordersandspace,itshallbeunderstoodasaprocess.If,however,
wewanttoevaluateitseffects,thenweshalltreatitasaspecificcondition.Itis
worthtonotethatthemajorityofthetheoryofglobalisationfounderspayattention
totheeffectsofthisphenomenon,therefore,theydonotperceiveitasaprocess,but
astate.
Thetitleofthisbookis:Globalisationintheoryandpractice,theauthortries
toshowwhatimpactglobalisationhasonmodernnations,onpoliticaltheoriesand
onsovereignty,whetheritlimitsthepoliticalthoughtorjustmodifiesit,andwhether
thenationsinordertoexistonaglobalscalehavetoundergothisprocess.The
choiceofthesubjectstemsfromanattempttoansweraquestionaboutthe
correlationoftheprocessesofglobalisationbetweeneconomicandpoliticalissues.
Theaimofthisdissertationistoanalyzetheprocessesofglobalisationwith
particularemphasisonpoliticalandeconomicmatters,definetheconceptof
globalisationandtodetermineacorrelationbetweentheperceptionofglobalisation
inthestrictlyeconomicandpoliticaldomain.Inordertoachievethegoal,itis
necessarytoconsidertheprocessofglobalisation,butalsotodefinetheprocess
itself.Anindicationoftheareasofmoderncivilizationinwhichtheprocessesof
globalisationareclearlyvisibleandconstituteanintegralpartofaspecificareaof
life,educationandthefunctioningoftheinternationalcommunitiesandvarious
organizationsshallhelptoformanadequatedefinition.
Thisdissertationanalyzestheimpactofglobalisationonsocio-economic
diversity.Thus,thecognitivefocusofattentionis,ontheonehand,theprocessesof
globalisation-theirreasons,nature,
themovingspirits,types,symptomsand
effects,ontheotherhand,oneoftheessentialelementsintheprocessof
globalisation-politicalfactor-perceivedasalossofsovereignty(itsconditions,
mechanismsofformation,nature,sizeandconsequences).Thisdissertationdoesnot
containanexhaustiveknowledgeonglobalisationbecauseitisfocusedmainlyon
justtwoaspectsofglobalisation:economicandpolitical.
