saidmainstreamjurisprudence,pointedoutthatthisdisputeliesatthe
perennialcore,andistheveryessence,oflegalsystems14.

way,includingeventhoseinprenatalphasesofdevelopment.Initially,
allcomplaintswererejectedduetothesimplefactthatthecomplain-
antscouldnotbetrulyconsideredvictims.moseentitledtopressfor
legalactioninthisregard,inaccordancewithArt.25oftheECHR
(nowArt.34ofECHR)are:Konlypersons,nongovernmentalorgani-
sationsorgroupsofindividualsclaimingtobethevictimofaviolation
byoneoftheHighContractingPartiesoftherightssetforthinthe
ConventionortheProtocolsthereto”.Inthecaseofabortionlaw,the
Commissioncouldnotthereforebeconsideredasbeingrepresentative
ofthepro-lifemovementorashavinganythingtodowithreligious
