service,oneofthemostwell-knownspaceactivities.1AccordingtotheUS

NationalAeronauticsandSpaceAdministration(NASA),“Navigationisthe

abilitytodeterminecurrentanddesiredposition(relativeorabsolute)and

applycorrectionstocourse,orientation,andspeedtoattainadesiredposition

anywherearoundtheworld,fromsub-surfacetosurfaceandfromsurfaceto

space.”

TheESA’sofficialwebpagehighlightsinturnthat:“(…)navigation

satellitescantellyouwhereyouaretothenearestfewmetresorbetter,

whatevertheweather.Enhancedinstrumentscanevenpinpointtheposition

ofastationaryobjecttowithinafewcentimetresbymeasuringtheobject’s
