Abstract
Thearticleisacontrastiveanalysisoftwoimportantconceptionsdealingwiththedescription
oflanguage:S.Karolak’ssemantictheoryofpredicate-argumentsstructureandG.Gross’object
orientedapproach.Thefirstpartofthearticleisdevotedtoabriefpresentationofbasicprinciplesof
boththeapproaches.Anattemptismadeatanalyzingthenotionofpredicateinbothconceptions,
aswell.Takingintoconsiderationthefactthatthetheoryofpredicate-argumentsstructurehasin-
fluencedthedevelopmentofG.Gross’lexicographicapproach,theauthorsconcentratealsoonthe
presentationofdifferencesandsimilaritiesbetweenthetwoconceptions.

tique(oulesstructuresprédicat-arguments)deS.Karolak(p.ex.1984,2007)et
laconceptiondesclassesd’objetsdeG.Gross(p.ex.1994,1999,2004,2008),
quenousavonschoisiespourl’analyse,sontaupremiercoupd’œiltrèsdifférentes.
Cependant,onpeutobserverdesinfluencesimportantesdelaconceptiondeS.Ka-
rolaksurcelledeG.Gross.
Afindemontrerlesdifférencesetlesressemblancesentrecesdeuxapproches,
ilestutilederappelerbrièvementleursfondementsthéoriquesrespectifs.
