15.24Butheanswered,“Iwasn’tsenttoanyonebutthelostsheepofthe
houseofIsrael.”
15.25Butshecameandworshipedhim,saying,“Lord,helpme.”
15.26Butheanswered,“Itisnotappropriatetotakethechildren’sbread
andthrowittothedogs.”
15.27Butshesaid,“Yes,Lord,buteventhedogseatthecrumbswhich
fallfromtheirmasters’table.”
15.28ThenJesusansweredher,“Woman,greatisyourfaith!Beitdone
toyouevenasyoudesire.”Andherdaughterwashealedfromthat
hour.
15.29Jesusdepartedthere,andcameneartotheseaofGalilee;and
hewentupintothemountain,andsatthere.15.30Greatmultitudescame
tohim,havingwiththemthelame,blind,mute,maimed,andmany
others,andtheyputthemdownathisfeet.Hehealedthem,15.31sothat
themultitudewonderedwhentheysawthemutespeaking,theinjured
healed,thelamewalking,andtheblindseeing—andtheyglorifiedthe
GodofIsrael.
15.32Jesussummonedhisdisciplesandsaid,“Ihavecompassiononthe
multitude,becausetheycontinuewithmenowthreedaysandhave
nothingtoeat.Idon’twanttosendthemawayfasting,ortheymight
faintontheway.”
15.33Thedisciplessaidtohim,“Whereshouldwegetsomanyloaves
inadesertedplaceastosatisfysogreatamultitude?”
15.34Jesussaidtothem,“Howmanyloavesdoyouhave?”
Theysaid,“Seven,andafewsmallfish.”
15.35Hecommandedthemultitudetositdownontheground;15.36and
hetookthesevenloavesandthefish.Hegavethanksandbrokethem,
andgavetothedisciples,andthedisciplestothemultitudes.15.37They
allate,andwerefilled.Theytookupsevenbasketsfullofthebroken
piecesthatwereleftover.15.38Thosewhoatewerefourthousandmen,
besideswomenandchildren.15.39Thenhesentawaythemultitudes,got
intotheboat,andcameintothebordersofMagdala.
